Week 10
This week was deadline week for the film magazine and poster. The group had not even started editing or creating either the magazine or poster, first thing on Mondays lesson we had gone to the green room to take the photoshoot for the magazine and poster, once we had taken these photographs I had then straight away hit the computers to get a start on the magazine, also my other group member Aman had began to start on the poster. The deadline was only in 4 days, I needed to complete this task! I spent Mondays lesson cutting out the models from the background using a photograph editing software; PhotoShop. So now atleast I had everything ready, all I would need to do is make the cut out photograph and make it look like a magazine. I had spent the majority of my free lessons and lesson time on Wednesday creating the magazine, i could see progression every hour. By the end of the day on Wednesday, the magazine me and Deen were designing was pretty much done, we just needed to spent another hour or two in order to touch and tweak a couple of things on Friday. I had followed upon the film poster, and the other two group members; Aman and Ravena had showed me the film poster. I liked it however I inputted some of my own ideas which would make it look bit more professional. Now it is Friday and we have handed in both poster and magazine. Finally it is all over!

Week 9
A new week...And still pretty hectic.
By now the teaser trailer is complete and uploaded onto YouTube. I had thought I could now relax as it was all done. Unfortunately, there was also more work to do now. We now had to create a film poster and magazine cover, Deen was happy about this and didn't really mind this as the task involved photoshop, which he enjoyed using and had lots of experience with. We had split the group into two; Me and Deen decided to design a draft and create the film magazine, on the other hand we had Aman and Raveena draft, design and create the film poster. I had spent the double lesson on Monday researching and finding different magazine covers. By the end of this lesson I had enough knowledge and understand conventions of a magazine cover a lot more. On Wednesdays lesson we were told to fix a couple minor problems with our teaser trailer and then re-uploaded. We had found that in our trailer there were a couple problems when it come to the sound; some clips had background noise. I spent Wednesdays lesson completing and fixing the problems and then re-uploading the trailer to YouTube.

Week 8
This week was all to do with editing he final footage for the teaser trailer. I had the job of cutting down clips and putting them into the correct order. Raveena and Aman had the jobs of finding the soundtrack to go along with the trailer and also transferring the voice overs. By the end of Mondays lesson we had managed to have all the clips played out in the correct order and had the soundtrack and voice overs ready. Now for the rest of the week all we had to was edit everything we had into a professional style teaser trailer. The group had taken time out of free periods and had spend break times and lunch times editing the footage. The editing was quite difficult as not all members of the group had much knowledge of the software we were using to edit which was Final Cut Pro X. By Fridays lesson (which was the deadline), things got very intense. Almost everyone in the classroom was working at a fast pace as the clock was ticking and the deadline was getting closer and closer. We now had the majority of the trailer edited, and in this last double lesson we spent this time adding in transitions and fixing any problems we found. For example we had noticed there was a couple of sound issues on some of the clips as the wind had interrupted some of the dialogue. We had tried editing the sound directly through the software however it just would not sound any clearer. So what we had to do was record a voice over and put it over the clips. By the last ten minutes everything was pretty much done, we had corrected the majority of the faults however not all as we did not have much time. So now we had to hand in whatever we had done, so we then uploaded the Grief or Guilt trailer to the Media departments YouTube, it was such a relief as the intensity was increasing more and more as the time got closer.

Week 7
A really busy, busy week! Although very successful.
Myself and Deen had managed to sort out all the filming and had completed all the footage needed (which was done on Wednesday). We had met up on Thursday morning first thing to get all the footage transferred onto the computer. We had used all our free time inbetween lessons to get the footage across from the SD card to the Macs, however had troubles; not being able to change the format of the footage so that it is compatible with the editing software. By Friday we had managed to have all the clips compressed into the right file format, so then we began to start the editing process.

Week 6
Last week as well as this week was not really productive. We had many problems within our group, there was atleast one group member missing each lesson and on Wednesday were we had planned to film, two of my group members did not show up, therefore we had really fell behind and all we had to work with until the next time we filmed was only the two scenes we had. So This week i spent time sorting out my Weebly website, blog and improving and trying out different editing effects in Final Cut Pro. At-least this week I had learnt how to use the editing software, so i was able to create various effects. Deen and I were pretty let down at the fact the majority of the time we had planned to film, the members we needed did not show up, so we were always one person down. After this week I had to take charge because I could not risk falling behind and having a really bad grade as the outcome. So myself and Deen had used time out of lesson to plan a whole day where we would film each and every scene at every location we needed. We had made arrangements were we could film at a friends house for some scenes, and had called up the local borough to see if we could film in certain locations to make sure that when it comes down to filming we are not going to be let down and again miss a chance to film.

Week 5
Week 5 has begun. On the weekend we successfully filmed the flashback scene in the B&B. Deen and Raveena were acting and I was behind camera, this would be the scene were Deen's character Micheal and Raveena's character Safia would be having their affair. Although we only had two scenes filmed - the opening scene at the graveyard and the flashback scene in the bedroom - we were positive as we had managed to film two different scenes in a short space of time, and we were feeling positive that we could hopefully carry this momentum on and be able to film our next scene very soon.Throughout this week I had assgined Deen to help me with editing, and I had assigned Aman and Raveena to look at the next location to film. We did not have much footage to edit as we did not want to make the opening scenes too long, therefore I decided to cut the first two scenes down to 10-15 seconds. Next week we aim to film once again and hopefully gain more footage to use in the teaser trailer.

Week 4
On Monday's lessons Me, Deen and Raveena had taken a trip back to the graveyard, whilst we went out to film, I had given Aman instructions to stay back in class and begin to find soundtracks that we could possibly use in the teaser trailer. This time round, when we had arrived at the graveyard we were much more prepared for filming. Deen and I were the actos in this specific scene and Raveena was behind the camera. By the end of Monday's lesson we had successfully filmde and attained some footage, this was positive as we could now go back to school with some footage for next lesson, which meant me and Deen could edit.
We had difficulties trying to find time to film on both Wednesday and Friday's lesson as unfortuantely we were missing at least one group member each lesson. As a group we had discussed and agreed that our class time was not enough for filming, and we would need to take time outside of school to film. The communication in our group outside of lesson was not the best admittedly, at times we found it difficult to even arrange a time to film. However, I was determined to film and attain more footage and unfortuantely other members of the group were not as enthusiastic, therefore I decided to step up and to try and get everyone on board. One of our scenes was to be in a bedroom, this would be the cheating scene. Unfortunately we could not find a bedroom to use until I decided to ask a friend for a favour as her father owns a B&B and having this in mind, I asked to borrow a room and she agreed. This was very beneficial as we now had another location to film. My friend had told me that I could only use the bed and breakfast on the weekend, so I informed Deen and the other two group members, and we all agreed we would be filming at the B&B on the weekend.

Week 3
This week has been very busy, due to the research me and Deen had looked into we had a much better understanding towards the genre we had picked and this would be vital for our teaser trailer during the later stages. Aman and Raveena had not been able to complete all the planning, Deen and I had decidde to assist the other two members in completing the research, ideally at this point we would have preffered to have started filming at this point. I had created a new deadline of research and planning to be complete no later than Thursday, this would then leave us time on the Friday double lesson to get some of the filming done. Fortunately we managaed to successfully complete both research and planning and had also gained a firm grip on what our final idea would entail. Our first scene will be taking place in a graveyard based in, South-Ealing. On Friday we travelled to the location, however we had no tripod which was a very important piece of equipment needed in order to film. So instead, when we arrived we decided to take a look around the location to make sure we know exactly what we would be filming and how we we would be filming (e.g camera shots/angles) for the next time that we come down to film. This week was not as successful as we had planned, this was mainly because we would have preffered to have footage prepared and we would have then been able to being editing for Mondays double lesson, however on a positive point our planning and research had been completed.

Week 2
We have successfully built a story-line and with this in mind it is now time to get on with planning and research. As team captain, I decided to split our group into two. Me and Deen will be working on the research, attempting to find different movies which are of similar context or of similar/same genre and Aman and Raveena will begin with basic planning. I intend to to gather much research about the Mystery/thriller genre and then use the knowledge gained and interpret it into our final idea. Both me and Deen were observing different trailers, looking at ideas that we could possibly add onto our own storyline. We also looked at different aspects of mise-en-scene. In contrast to this, I assigned Aman and Raveena the job of working on the draft storyboard, and to look at different locations and costumes we could possibly use for our trailer. By the end of this week we aim to make sure most, if not all the planning and research to be completed. So that we may begin to prepare filming for our teaser trailer.

Week 1
First week back, and a lot has changed! I have been placed in a new group entirely as my school timetable has changed and therefore my media class has also changed. This news had come as a bit of a blow as before the summer break, my previous group had completed all the research and planning that was needed and this would have allowed us to have a headstart on filming which would have been a positive sign. All of my current group members - Deen, Aman and Raveena were placed in a similar circumstance such as I. This had put me in a bit of a predicament as now I was behind on work and the majority of other groups had already successfully completed their research and planning. This week I was able to meet my new members and begin to brainstorm several ideas and hopefully be able to construct a story line. After a variation of ideas being put down by the members, we concluded that we will be choosing the Thriller/Mystery genre for our teaser trailer. We had come to this conclusion as it was quite different and unique to other groups in our year, and we wanted to create a trailer that would be different from the rest.
We had also successfully managed to construct a storyline:
The trailer is about two brothers Adam and Michael. They are both in a conflict over the fact that Michael had an affair with Adam's wife, Sofia when she was alive. Adam is now aware of the scandal which is what caused their relationship as brothers to fall apart. After the death of Sofia, Micheal reaches out to Adam, attempting to fix their relationship, Micheal shows Adam a file which has information on Sofia's killer. However, the mystery all along is that Adam is the one that killed his wife Sofia and therefore tries to avoid anything to do with her death and acts very suspicious throughout the trailer.
